TMS 269 Winter's Butterflies

Who is ready for another fun Tuesday Morning Sketch?!
Who's ready for  a chance to win a fun prize?!

This week is sponsored by Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet and we were lucky enough to get images to play with.  The artists we're showcasing are Beary Dust Stamps and Digi Blessings.
Here is this week's sketch...

I found this sketch challenging.  After coloring my image, I used my new MFT stitched circle die to cut it out.  The first sentiment I printed was smaller and you could not read the "are winters" part of the sentiment.  So I had to print it larger so it was readable.  I was originally going with a raised fish tail label, but I had no room with the larger sentiment.  Oh well, I think it turned out fine, enough of my rambling.  Instead of banners, I added some falling snowflakes.  I/ve had these little snowflakes for so long I forget how they came to be in my stash.  So another Christmas card ready.

Be sure to stop by the other DT blogs for lots of fabulous inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog!  Be sure to link up your creation, we'd love to see what you create!

Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!

Hello fellow coffee lovers! Happy National Coffee Day!
I am so happy to be participating in the Coffee Lovers Bloghop!
If you happened to stop here first, head on over to Cuts, Crops and Creativity to get the details on how to join this fun hop!
Here is a little card I created for today's hop.
I used the sketch from MFT's Wednesday Sketch Challenge as my inspiration.
             Print

Today I used a stamp I received in a grab bag from Unity.
I stamped my image on watercolor paper and colored with Distress inks and my water brush.  Stamped the image again and cut out the little heart. I then added a tiny snowflake to the center of the heart before adhering to the cup.  Added the sentiment to a die cut heart, then added a bow/button embellishment.
Now I just need an assortment of K-cups to go with this card and I'll have one Christmas present done!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you are enjoying your favorite coffee as you hop along today!

Online Card Classes

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to share some great news!
Shari Carroll, My World blog, was giving away a spot in the Online Card Class, Copic Markers for Card  Makers; and I won!!!
Thanks Shari!!!
I was skeptical at first.  After all I only own 10 Copic Markers, and I never really used them.  I was a little intimated with all the different colors and the shading and blending.  What can you do with just 10 markers, and as it turns out not in the right blending family?  Who knew there's are method to those numbers? Not me!  Well it turns out, I can do more than I thought!
These classes are wonderful!  I am learning so much and getting more comfortable with how to use the markers.
Here is a practice sheet.  It's actual the practice sheet for day one, but I used the tip to tip blending technique that was covered in class on day two!
Oh, I wish I had more time to play!  Busy with the Youth Group this weekend but am really excited to practice some more.
Thanks for stopping by and listening to my happy ramblings!
God Bless!

TMS 268

Who's ready for another Tuesday Morning Sketch?
Who's ready for a chance to win a $10.00 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp?
Melissa is sponsoring us this week; and up for grabs is a gift certificate to one of my favorite on line stores!  You're sure to find some great deals at Simon Says Stamp during their Stamptember Celebration!

Here's your sketch:

Sorry for the darker image, I had to take the picture at night so the lighting was not the best.  I used Verve's Peaceful Medallions
to create my card.  The background was created by sponging on some SU inks, then stamping the smaller circle images randomly over the entire panel.
I then stamped and die cut out the two larger circles, two of the smaller circles and on of the smallest medallion images.  I layered them up and added a few gems.  The sentiment was stamped on two banners.  A little hand stitching finishes off my card.

Need a little more inspiration?

That stinks!

Sharing a little birthday card I made using sketch #93 from CAS(E) This Sketch.
Don't let the sentiment fool you, it's a belated birthday card.  I put "I missed your birthday!  Happy Belated Birthday!" on the inside.  Yes, I am late on another birthday.  Thanks to CAS(E) this sketch, I came up with this quick and easy card.  The cute skunk image is from Meljen Designs.

Thanks so much for stopping by my little blog spot!
God bless!!

Ready for Fall!

Quick little post to share a fall card I created.  The cooler temperatures are really putting me in the mood for fall.
I used sketch # 132 from Retro Sketches as my inspiration.

Ok, so I may not have nailed the sketch, but it gave me the inspiration.  Inked up this stamp I purchased from Flourishes (no longer in business) almost a year ago and had never used.  Love how the coloring turned out! I used Distress Inks and my water brush.  Added some ink to the edges of a page from an old book, a little stamping a little distressing and a little bit of washi tape.  Used a Memory Box label die, that I purchased on sale from Dies R Us, for the first time for my sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you take time to leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you!
God bless!

Here is this week's sketch:

Decided to make another Christmas card for my card stash.  Used this cute little Reindeer Block image.  Colored with Prismacolor pencils.  Added a little Glossy Accents to his cute red nose.  The background was created using Distressed Ink on a candy striped embossing folder.  Stamped a dotted "fly line" and added a few snowflakes with added glitter.

Need more inspiration?
Check out how the other Design Team members interpreted the sketch.  While you're there leave them a little love.

Taylored Expessions has a great prize challenge going on right now, just a few more days to enter the TE Sketch, Selfie, Share, Win challenge.

I used Taylored Expressions Plane Awesome stamp set and die for my birthday card. Used TE Ray of Sunshine cutting plate and a little distressed ink to create the background.  I also created the cloud panel with a stencil and distressed ink.

Next take a selfie, or if you're like me, have someone else take a picture.  Sorry, I'm not a selfie girl!
Next share your card! Tell us who you're sending it to.  This one is going to my brother.

TMS 266 BACK TO SCHOOL

Welcome back everyone!
Hope you're ready for another great Tuesday Morning Sketch!
We have a great sponsor this week, DeeDee's digis!

Deedee's Digis specializes in wholesome digital stamps and papers that will make you smile and lift your spirit.

This week is TWIST WEEK!!!  The twist is BACK TO SCHOOL!

You don't have to use the twist to be voted as Top 5, but if you want to win the prize, create a Back to School themed card or scrapbook page  using this week's sketch (it must be identifiable).

Here is this weeks sketch

I used DeeDee's High School Daze to create this little Locker Buddy card.  The locker image, the notebook paper and the sentiment all came from the digital set. The image was colored with prismacolor pencils.  Inked up the edges of the notebook paper with Old Paper Distressed Ink.  The background paper was created using white ink on black card stock.  Attached the Locker Buddies sentiment with an apple brad.

For a little more inspiration, check out the other Design Team's creations.  Leave 'em a little love while you're there.

Remember to add the twist to be eligible to when the prize!
Can't wait to see what you create!

Mojo Veteran' Day Card

Posting another Veteran's Day card.
Thanks to Mojo Monday 361 for the inspiration!

I used Tim Holtz Old Glory die by Sizzix for the flag.  Colored it by sponging on Distress inks.  Used the star stamp from Verve's American Hero set to create the background on the brown panel and behind the sentiment.  The sentiment came from Unity's Dog Tags and Thanks set.
The paper and ribbon are from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you will consider following.

Tuesday Morning Sketch 265 / Anniversary Roses

Welcome back Tuesday Morning Sketches fans!
I hope you all had a very enjoyable Labor Day weekend.
With the long weekend, I will be a day behind for the rest of the week!

This week is sponsored by Digital Delights by Looby Lou.  Wendy's images are so much fun and such a wide variety.  We're so happy to have her here.

This week we are doing something a little different.  We have three sketches for you to pick from.  You get to choose one, two or all three!  All three sketches are great and loaded with possibilities.
Here are your choices....

I needed another Anniversary card, I seem to have depleted my supply recently so I wanted to add back to my stash.  I am still trying my hand at water coloring.  I love the technique and the look, I just need more playtime practice.
So now that you've seen which sketch I picked, it's your turn. Pick your favorite and go create!
Before you go play, remember to stop by and leave a little love for the other members of the DT.

Hero

With the long weekend I was able to squeeze in a little extra play time.
Here is another Veteran's Day card I made using the sketch from My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.
MFTWSC191

I used the Western Star Border Die-namic on the angled panel.  The Hero and stars are from Verve, American Hero.  I colored in the red and blue stars with Distress markers.  I added Wink of Stella to the white star before adding Glossy Accents to all 6 stars on the sentiment circle.  A little paper piercing and some white/silver twine and the card was done.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great week!
God bless!

A little Christmas Card with Verve

Can't believe I had time to make another card this weekend!
First time in a loooooong time that I was able to complete all the Viva la Verve Sketches!
Here is my card for Aug. week #5.

Sorry for the poor photo quality.
In RL this is a very soft and pretty card.
Used Verve's Merry and Bright set to create this card.  Stamped the snowflakes with Vesamark and heat embossed with white EP.  Sponged the entire background with tumbled glass Distress Ink.  Die cut a swirled doily from Sizzix and sprayed with shimmer mist.  (yes, that's where the splatters came from)  Stamped the sentiment with silver ink and heat embossed with clear EP.  Added some stitching along the edge of the banners and a few silver die cut snow flakes.
Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week!
God bless!
