Christmas Thank You with Digital Delights

I am so excited to be a guest designer for Digital Delights by Louby Loo!
If you are not familiar with Digital Delights be sure to check out their cute and fun images HERE!

Now that the Christmas rush is mostly over, I still have one more Christmas party this weekend, it's time to start sending out thank you notes!

Today I am showcasing Digital Delights Holly Thank You and the cute snowman from Christmas Toppers #6.

I printed the snowman image twice, coloring both images with Copic markers.  I then fussy cut the complete image from one print and just the hands and hat from the second print.  I popped the image up with from tape.  I then added foam tape to the hands and hat to pop them up from the base image.  It is hard to tell the dimension in the picture.  I added Wink of Stella to the puff on top of the hat and to the holly on the hat.  I used red gems for the holly berries on the Thank You panel.   I embossed the green background layer with a snowflake embossing folder and added a little ribbon behind the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!  Wishing you a very happy and blessed 2016!

TMS #332 Annual Anything Goes!

Happy Tuesday before Christmas!

It's once again time for our annual Tuesday Morning Sketches Anything Goes Challenge!  This will be a two week challenge, and as the title says, anything goes!  So it's time to show us what crafty goodies your making!

Melissa is sponsoring our prize for this challenge.  She has put together a wonderful prize package of stamps, dies, papers, embellishments and maybe a surprise or two!

This week I am sharing my 2015 Christmas card.
A very simple CAS card.

The idea for this card actually came from Rapport Fran ett skrivbord.  Her work is so beautiful and I love the image, so I decided to CASE her card for my Christmas cards this year.  My water coloring skills are no where near as good as on the original.  The image is called Poinsettia Corner by Serendipity Stamps. I used my Inktense water color pencils to color the image.  I also added a little Wink of Stella to the candle glow.

Be sure to stop by the other DT member's bogs, they have some great inspiration ready for you!
Take time to wish them a Merry Christmas!

Winner and TMS with DRS!

Good morning everyone!  Welcome back for another Tuesday Morning Sketch!

Before I get into this week's sketch and card, I would like to thank everyone who stopped by and wished me a happy birthday!  I had a wonderful day spend with my family.

And now for the winner of my special birthday giveaway....
Random.org picked #13 - KY Fit Kitty!
Congratulations!  Thank you to everyone who left a comment, it make my day!

Now back to business!  We have a great sketch this week, and an even greater sponsor!
This week our prize is from DRS Designs!  We have a $10.00 DRS gift certificate for one lucky participant!

Now for this week's sketch!

And my take....'

I used DRS's Vertical Triple Tree on the main image panel.  Minimal coloring made this card quick,
I need quick right now since I still have not mailed my Christmas cards!  My goal is to have them ready to be mailed this Thursday.
Just a hint of color and snowflakes along the swirl to help give the effect of blowing snow.
I tried to create a feeling of a close up of the tree branch on the top image panel.  I used a branch die and small bird dies to create this little scene.  I stamped some small snowflakes onto the sentiment panel before stamping the sentiment.

Now for more inspiration, see what the other designers have created this week!

TMS and Bugaboo!

Happy Tuesday after Thanksgiving!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!
I am back with another Tuesday Morning Sketch.
This week our sponsor is one of my personal favorites, Bugaboo Stamps!
I love the fun and humorous stamps that Bugaboo offers!
Wanna chance to win some of these fun images for yourself?  Then come and play along with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Here is this weeks sketch.

This week I created a shaker card!

I used Bugaboo's Christmas Ornaments image for my card.  I love the retro look of these ornaments and tried to keep that feel with the colors I used.  The ornaments were colored with Prismacolor pencils and Distress ink markers.  I did add a little sparkle to the ornaments with my glitter pen, even though it is hard to tell in the picture.  I used a Martha Steward punch for the little evergreen boughs; I then added a jingle bell die and some sequins.  I filled my shaker with chunky glitter and sequins.

Happy Tuesday before Thanksgiving!
We have a great Tuesday Morning Sketch for you to play with this week.
We also have one of my favorite sponsors back this week, Sami Stamps!
Sami has some of the prettiest digital stamps!  If you haven't see her new Acorn Foxes, you are missing out!  They are adorable, and free with a purchase.

Ok, so on to the sketch.

and my take,

I used Sami's Holly Owl image for my card.  I colored the image with Distress Inks and a blending pen.  I printed the image twice so I could fussy cut the owl and pop it up.  I used some old snowflake stamps and some white Enamel Accents by Ranger to create a snowy background.  (We had our first snow of the season this past weekend!)  I added a little bit of glitter pen to the snowflake centers and to the holly berries. A little button and bow add the finishing touch.

Happy Anniversary Heart Banner

Sharing an Anniversary card I made using sketch #149 from CASE this Sketch.
I stamp this heart banner from Unity with Versamark then heat embossed it using white EP.  I actually got this stamp in a grab bag and fell in love with it!  I then used some Distress Inks and gave it a water color wash over the image.  I stamped Verve's Happy Anniversary sentiment using Versamark again and this time used gold EP.  Added a few sequins and my card was done!  I love how this CAS card turned out!

It's Tuesday Morning Sketch time!
Nina has a fun color block sketch for us and we have a great sponsor, Sherri Baldy Designs!
Join us this week for your chance to win some of Sherri's big-eyed beauties!

Now for the sketch -

and here's my take -

I flipped the sketch and used the transparent panel for my sentiment!  I made the sentiment from a stamp set I picked up at Hobby Lobby years ago.  It is a word set, so you can mix and match the words to create a custom sentiment.  I created this sentiment to remind a special young lady how beautiful she is, inside and out!  The image is colored with a mix of colored pencils and markers. I added some hand drawn doodling around the green panel for added interest.

Thanksgiving card

Sharing a card I put together with a little help from Viva la Verve's Nov. Week 2 sketch.

Sorry for the poor picture quality, it was a gloomy, rainy day.
I pulled out some stamps and dies that I purchase from a little company called My Craft Spot, unfortunately this company is no longer in business.  Thanks to the sketch, this card came together rather quickly! I used scraps of plain and patterned paper for the leaves and pumpkin.  Some sequins and gold thread accent the card.  Now to get this card in the mail since it will be sent to family who are currently out of state.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I actually used a sketch from Viva la Verve's October challenge, then forgot to link it up in time!
The mittens and sentiment are from a discontinue set from Verve.  I used Distress ink to colored the mittens, then added some Wink of Stella for a little glimmer. Added some snowflakes die cut from silver glitter paper.
Thanks for stopping by!

Veteran's Day Thank You

HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY!
A BIG THANK YOU! to all the Veteran's who have so bravely and proudly served our country!

Today I am sharing a card I created as a thank you to our Vets.
This will be added to a care package that will go to some Veterans in a local retirement home.
A few of the Veterans in the retirement home are women, so I wanted a card with a feminine touch.
So instead of a background of stars and strips I went with flowers.  I think this little vase with flowers and a flag from Unity's Unity in America set is perfect if you want a Veteran's card with a feminine touch.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

I hope you come back the week of Dec. 8, 2015.  It's my birthday! I will have a special giveaway to celebrate!

Thank You for Your Service

Quick little post to share a Veteran's Day card I created with the help of this month's sketch over at Unity's Be Inspired Challenge.  Please take time this Wednesday to thank a Vet for their service!
I used Unity's Dog Tags and Thanks set for this Veteran's Day card.  The dog tags were stamped with Versamark then heat embossed using black EP.  I used MFT's Scattered Stars die behind the tags.  Some stars die cut from silver glitter paper and some ribbon and silver cord accent this card.
Thanks for stopping by my little blog.

I hope you come back on Dec. 8, 2015.  I will be having a special giveaway to celebrate my birthday!

A new sketch is up and ready for you at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Our prize sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet!
Their store is loaded with lots of images! Something for everyone!

Now lets take a look at this week's sketch....

and my take......

I flipped the sketch this week.  My image is called Cattail Pond.  I think it must be discontinued, because when I went to search for it, I could not find it!  I am sorry for any confusion!
After printing the image, I sponged the sky and the water using Distress Inks.  I then went back in with my colored pencils and colored in the stalks and grass. I added a little white gel pen to the ripples in the water.  I used a cattail die in place of the three button/gems in the sketch.  I think it makes a nice masculine card.

Be sure to check out the other DT cards, they did an awesome job with this sketch!

VLV Hero

I am finishing up my Veteran's Day cards.  Take time to thank a vet!
It was a little easier getting them done thanks to Viva la Verve's Nov. week one sketch!

I use the stars from Verve's American Hero set to create a tone on tone background.  I then used some black EP to heat emboss the HERO sentiment from the same set.  I used some wood stars, some striped ribbon and a button with a twin bow to embellish the card.  This will soon go to a veteran in a local retirement home as a thank you for their service.

Happy Tuesday everyone!
Tuesday Morning Sketches has another sketch ready for you to try!

We're sponsoring this week by Deedee's Digis.  As always, one random winner will receive a special shopping voucher to score some digis of your own!

Lets jump right in with this week's sketch....

and here is my take; featuring DeeDee's Beauty of the Season

I printed the single poinsettia image multiple times then colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out.  I added some shimmer to the flowers with some Wink of Stella.  I printed the Merry Christmas sentiment then used my stitched circle die to cut it out! The blue scalloped panel behind the sentiment also has a coat of shimmer.  I added some silver ribbon to accent the silver snowflakes on the background paper. (They show up black in my picture, but they are actually silver)

Cheers to You!

Just a quick share of a card I made for my sister-in-law's birthday.
I used Stampingbella's Opal the Optimist to create a fun little card for her.

I colored the image with Copics. (still a lot to learn!)  On the card base, I inked up one edge with Distress ink then added some Glass Bead Glitter Gel to give it a fun glitter effect!  I stamped the tickets and die cut them out. (sorry, I bought them used and can't remember who makes them) I also added a little Wink of Stella to the flower on her dress and the stripes on the designer paper, it didn't show up in the photo. :(
A button, twine and sequins add a little interest.

TMS 324 and All Dressed Up!!

Hello everyone!  I hope you are ready for a fun Tuesday Morning Sketch!
This is a fun one to add some of you favorite embellishments to!

Our Sponsor this week is All Dressed Up!  So much cuteness in one little shop!
And if you play along this week, you will have a chance to win two images of your choice!

Here is a little bit about Wendy and All Dressed Up Digital Stamps.
Hi I am Wendy Burns I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children who have been the inspiration behind the characters,  in particular my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with blogging and trends.  I work predominantly within the textile children’s wear market, fashion and interiors.
I trained as a textile designer and although my work is digital based, I love to retain that hand drawn /sewn feel which I hope comes across in my artwork.

Digital stamps is a new challenge for me and the opportunity to work with the All Dressed Up Team and has been very exciting, in particular the creative way my characters have been given individual personalities by the designers .All Dressed Up is a newly launched blog with an enthusiastic team who are passionate about stamping.  The coordinators Anne Lise and Bettina along with an amazing design team are also known as The Dressy Girls.

We have a friendly Facebook page, regular blog posts, tutorials, challenges and freebies .The stamps can be purchased from the Etsy shop which is updated on a monthly basis.
We really are friendly bunch and would love to see your creations so please feel free to contact us and visit the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog.

So now for this week's sketch...

and a little inspiration for you....

I colored this adorable little girl from All Dressed Up's  Three Christmas Girls stamp, with Copics.
I added a little Gesso to the spot I wanted to stamp the sentiment. This made it possible to stamp the sentiment on the printed paper and not get lost in the pattern.  I used an oval instead of a rectangle for my image panel.  A few MFT die cut music notes and sequins are my choice of embellishments!  I also added a little glitter pen to the nose of the reindeer hat!

I neede a card for a baby shower this weekend and thanks to MFT Sketch Challenge, I was able to make my card this morning and have it ready for the baby shower this afternoon.
Here was my inspiration...

Here is my card...

The sentiment, heart die, tag stamp and die are from Verve.  The cute little vest and bow-tie are from Unity.  I colored the vest with Copics then fussy cut it and popped it up with foam tape.  The tiny bow-tie was a challenge to cut!  Some ribbon and twine for the tag and a little heart button were the finishing touches for this baby shower card to welcome my great-nephew, Lucas!

Ragged Old Flag

Quick post to share another Veteran's Day card.

Thanks to the sketch over at Share Joy Challenge #7.
I flipped the sketch for my card.

I used Unity's Ragged Ol' Flag set for this card.  I love the quote in this set!  I used gelatos applied directly to the flag stamp, misted with water and stamped on mixed media paper.  I then stamped the quote over the flag once it was dry.  Distressed the edges and inked with Old Paper Distress ink.
This card will go to a local Veteran.

Thanks to for the sketch Mojo Monday!!

I was able to put this little wedding card together fairly quickly!

One of my favorite things about making hand-made cards, you can customize them to whoever they are going.  I used my cousin's wedding colors to create this little card.  The stamps are from Verve's No Matter What set. I embossed the flowers and sentiment with Versimark and some platinum EP.  The hearts were cut using Verve's From the Heart die set.  Some twine and sequins add the finishing touches!

Melissa has a great sketch for us this week, embellish to your hearts desire!

Debbie is sponsoring the prize this week.  She has a $10.00 gift certificate to Doodle Pantry to one lucky entrant.

Here is my take on this week's sketch.

I used a Mo Manning stamp from Stampingbella, Spit Happens.  I colored the image with Copics.  I added some layers of ribbon and twine with a button along the bottom of the image panel.  I used my Sizzix Sweet Buttons Embosslit from Stampin Up to created a few more "buttons" to embellish with.

Are you ready for another awesome Tuesday Morning Sketch?

Debbie has a great sketch for us this week and we have a great sponsor too!

This week, we're sponsored by Sami Stamps.  She's been a wonderful sponsor for us and we're so glad that she's decided to join us again.  You can find her sweet digital images on her Etsy shop here and of course, don't skip her blog!

Now for the sketch...

And my card....

I used the sweet image Winter Romance.  I tried a different masking technique on this one.  I printed the image, then I brushed on some rubber cement over the image.  After the rubber cement dried, I sponged on the sky and ground background using Distressed Inks.  After I was finished sponging on the background, I rubbed off the rubber cement with my finger and then colored the image with Copic Markers.  I created the new falling snow by adding dots of  Liquid Applique and then heat setting it. It doesn't take much to make some fun puffy snow!

Share Joy Birthday Card

Hello everyone!
I am so proud of my self for actually getting a birthday card done before the actual birthday!
Now if I can just remember to mail it on time!
I used the sketch over at Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge to put together this birthday card for my brother.

Very minimal stamping on this card.  The only stamping was the "birthday" and the "to you" on the little tab.  More die cuts then stamping on this one! I think it makes a great masculine card, which I always struggle with.
Thanks for stopping by!  God bless!
