TMS #320

Woot! Woot!
It's Tuesday and you know what that means?!
It's time for another sketch!!
Melissa has a great sketch for us this week, embellish to your hearts desire!

Debbie is sponsoring the prize this week.  She has a $10.00 gift certificate to Doodle Pantry to one lucky entrant.

Here is my take on this week's sketch.

I used a Mo Manning stamp from Stampingbella, Spit Happens.  I colored the image with Copics.  I added some layers of ribbon and twine with a button along the bottom of the image panel.  I used my Sizzix Sweet Buttons Embosslit from Stampin Up to created a few more "buttons" to embellish with.
This little card will be going to my God-son, who just had his first child last week.

Be sure to pop in on the other DT member's, they have some awesome cards to share with you!

TMS 319 and Sami Stamps!!

Are you ready for another awesome Tuesday Morning Sketch?

Debbie has a great sketch for us this week and we have a great sponsor too!

This week, we're sponsored by Sami Stamps.  She's been a wonderful sponsor for us and we're so glad that she's decided to join us again.  You can find her sweet digital images on her Etsy shop here and of course, don't skip her blog!

Now for the sketch...

And my card....

I used the sweet image Winter Romance.  I tried a different masking technique on this one.  I printed the image, then I brushed on some rubber cement over the image.  After the rubber cement dried, I sponged on the sky and ground background using Distressed Inks.  After I was finished sponging on the background, I rubbed off the rubber cement with my finger and then colored the image with Copic Markers.  I created the new falling snow by adding dots of  Liquid Applique and then heat setting it. It doesn't take much to make some fun puffy snow!

Be sure to stop by the other DT members blogs, the have some wonderful creations to share with you!

Share Joy Birthday Card

Hello everyone!
I am so proud of my self for actually getting a birthday card done before the actual birthday!
Now if I can just remember to mail it on time!
I used the sketch over at Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge to put together this birthday card for my brother.

Very minimal stamping on this card.  The only stamping was the "birthday" and the "to you" on the little tab.  More die cuts then stamping on this one! I think it makes a great masculine card, which I always struggle with.
Thanks for stopping by!  God bless!

Happy Anniversary with Viva la Verve!

Thanks to Viva la Verve's Sept. Week Three sketch, I was able to make an Anniversary card for my brother-in-law and his wife.  The are celebrating 28 years together.  My husband and I will celebrate 28 years next month.
Here's the sketch that gave me the inspiration...

And here is my card...
I used two different Verve stamp sets to create this cute little Anniversary card.  The flower are from
Joyful Blooms and the sentiment from On Occasion.   I colored the blooms with my water brush and Distressed inks.  I used the matching dies to cut out the flowers, along with some leaves using the Sprightly Sprigs dies.

Time for some Stampingbella!

Finally!  Some free time to color!
Here's a cute card using the Stampingbella Image Pippa Loves to Plant.
I colored the picture with Copic markers then cut the image panel using a MFT stitched edge die.
I added some floral paper to my card base then popped up the image panel.  I added a twine bow to the bottom edge.  Keeping it CAS!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
God bless!

Unity Beauty

Just a quick little post to share a card I created.

I used my NUBS -  Unity's Itty Bitty stamp Beauty.  I used the floral stamp to create the background.  I really love this image and think the background turned out so pretty!  Embossed the Beauty sentiment using Versamark and white embossing powder.  Some faux stitching around the edge of the die cut using a white gel pen.  A few pearls and a seam binding bow finish off this sweet CAS card.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my little blog!

TMS #318 and CTMH!

It's time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch!!

We have another sketch that is great for layering and embellishing!
Use the sketch as a base and get creative! Let your own style shine through!

Our very generous and gracious sponsor this week is Patti Rowe, CTMH consultant.

Here is this weeks sketch...

and here is a little inspiration...

I used one for the gorgeous tree stamps for CTMH set Always Grateful. I received this set a month or so ago and am finally finding time to play.  I used Distress inks and sponged a sunset background, one of my favorite techniques! Some fall colored leaf die cuts and a cute wooden acorn button and twine accent this lovely image.  First Thanksgiving/Fall card of the year!

Want some more wonderful inspiration?  Check out what the other members of the DT created.

Now it's your turn! Have some fun and be sure to come back and link your card up over at Tuesday Morning Sketches   You could be the random winner of some wonderful CTMH goodies!

TMS 317 with Sherry Baldy

It's Tuesday morning and you know what that means?!
Time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch!

We have a great sketch for layering this week and we have a great sponsor.

Our sponsor this week is Sherri Baldy Designs.  Her big eyed characters are very popular and oh so cute!  She has so many images to pick from you will have a hard time picking a favorite!

Now on to the sketch so you can get to creating!

Here's my inspiration for you this week....
I will admit, I had a bit of a time coloring her hat!  I think it's because I went with a black hat, maybe a non-traditional color like orange or purple would have been a little bit easier to color.
I used Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils to color this cute little witch.  It's hard to see from the picture, but I printed the image twice so I could fussy cut the pumpkin and pop it up for some dimension.  I added some gold star Stickles to her hat for a little more shine.  I also used purple metallic paper as the mat for my layers.  A layered circle with a jack-o-lantern brad and some apple green/yellow twine finish off my card!

Now it's time to see what the other DT members did with this fun layering sketch.

Not it's your turn! Link up a card using this week's sketch and you could be our random winner!

Thank you bouquet

Sharing a thank you card I put together using Mo Manning's digital image, Flower Jar.
Thanks to the sketch over at Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge, this card came together rather quickly.
Here's the sketch from the Share Joy Challenge.

Here is my thank you card.
OK, I didn't follow the sketch exactly, but it's my interpretation.

I colored the image with Prismacolor colored pencils. I then matted it on some yellow card stock.  I die cut the "thanks" from the same yellow card stock.  I then put it right up to the yellow mat so it looks like all one die cut.
A button and twine add the finishing touch.

This thank you card is going to a special young lady who helped out without hesitation at my son's wedding a few weeks ago.  I just wanted her to know how much she is appreciated.

Thanks so much for stopping by my little blog, have a great week!

A Little bit of pretty from Unity

Things are slowing down for me, so I took a little bit of time to create!
I used one of my new stamps from Unity to create this thank you card for a very special lady.
The image and sentiment are from the set Let Your Dreams Bloom.  I colored the image with my Inktense pencils and water brush.  I sanded the music panel where I wanted to stamp the sentiment.  This lightened the area so the sentiment showed up better, it also gave it a little bit of a distressed look to it.  Some twine and pearls are the finishing touches.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog!
God bless!

TMS #316

Happy Tuesday morning!
There is another great sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches!
I had a lot of fun putting together my very first easel card!  I had never made an easel card before, so this was a great new challenge for me!  If you're intimated, don't be, you can adapt the sketch and use the oval and circle elements on a regular A2 card.

This week we are sponsored by SLS Lines.
As noted in their bio on the Etsy shop:  Welcome! I sell digital stamps and papers with a fun and quirky vibe. There are cute fairies and tons of cats too. I'm happy to make custom orders as well. You can find me on Facebook with lots of news about new and upcoming products! https://www.facebook.com/SLSlines

Here's this week's sketch.....

and my card....
I used an SVG file to cut my card base and gingham mats.  I inked the edges of the mats with some Distressed ink before adhering to the panel.  On the base panel, I also added a few stamped flowers.  I used one of the flowers from the Whimsical Flowers set from SLS Lines for the vertical panel.  I paper pieced the bloom and colored the stem with Copics. I cut out the different layers of petals and popped them up.  I also added some Wink of Stella to the petals for a bit of glimmer.  A few sequins and a little twine bow finish off the card.
I had a lot of fun making this card.  I hope you give it a try.

Take a look at what the other DT members have created....

Remember, you don't have to make an easel card.  Just adopt the elements like Jessi did!
Have fun, can't wait to see what you create.
