TMS Sketch #289 and All Dressed Up!

Woo Hoo! It's time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch!

We have a fantastic sponsor this week, well all our sponsors are fantastic.  But I am really happy that All Dressed Up is here.  What a lovely little shop that is housed on Etsy.

All Dressed Up
The prize will be 2 digis of the winners choice!

To win these 2 wonderful digis, just use the sketch as inspiration for your card and link it up on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog.  Easy Peasy!

Here's the sketch...

Here's my take....

I used All Dressed Up's A Star is Born to create this baby card for my great niece that is due mid March.  I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol.   Instead of coloring the stares, I added some Dazzle star stickers.  I used my star embossing folder on the pink panel, then sponged on a little Spun Sugar Distressed Ink to give it a little more pop.  I pierced around the edge of the oval for some added interest.  A little ribbon and a few buttons and wallah!

Be sure to visit the other DT blogs, they've got some awesome cards to share with you!

Your turn! Remember you can turn the sketch, use different shapes, just use the sketch as a guide line.

Thanks for stopping by! Can't wait to see your creations!

TMS Sketch # 288

Thanks to everyone who played along with us last week!  There were some amazing entries!
Are you ready for another sketch?
We've got a fun new sketch this week and a fabulous sponsor!

Our sponsor this week is Sweet n Sassy Stamps, a veteran sponsor for TMS.  The shop is owned by Korin and Dan Sutherland.  They offer high quality clear stamps and matching dies (in most cases).  They have a very cool Sweet Perks membership that gives members special buying opportunities.  Be sure to check out their store and blog.

Now for the first new Tuesday Morning Sketch of 2015!

And here's my take.....

I used one of my all time favorite Sweet and Sassy stamps (sorry, I didn't realize it was discontinued)
Flower Field.  I stamped the image in gray ink then used Distress Inks and my water brush to create a pretty water colored scene!  Stamping the image in gray gives it a no line look.  I added some die cut hearts, sequins, heart gems and some wooden vener hearts.  I then added a vellum sentiment banner.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and then heat embossed with gold EP.  I think this makes a pretty anniversary card or maybe a wedding shower card.

Now for some wonderful inspiration by the TMS Design Team!

Now it's your turn to play.  Remember to link up your creation over at Tuesday Morning Sketches and you could be the random winner of some Sweet and Sassy goodies!

Thanks for stopping by!  God bless!

Hey There!

Hey there Tuesday Morning Sketches fans!

Today we are using Nina's favorite sketch from 2014.  This is our last look back sketch and it's a fun one!  Make it CAS or make it more elaborate! The choice is yours!

Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps.

So to win some Stitchy Bear awesomeness, just follow this sketch...

For my card, I used Stitchy Bear's Birthday Party Boy.

I thought it would be fun to creatively cut out the image so he appears to by popping through the opening and waving hi!  I temporarily placed my background paper onto my card base, then die cut through the layers to create an opening.  I colored the image with Copics, then fussy cut him out.  I then adhered the image to the back side of the background paper before adhering the whole panel to the card base. I had a hard time cutting out the fringe on the top of his party hat, so I ended up using a little white puffy paint to create a pom pom for the top of his hat.

Now before you go running off to create an awesome card to share with us, make sure to check out what the other DT members created!

Thanks for stopping by!  Can't what to see what you create with this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch!

God bless!!

I used water color technique to color both images.  I used Distressed Inks on the Bird on branch image and Inktense pencils on the poppy image.  Sami has some beautiful stamps that are so fun to water color!

Here's the rest of the DT with some wonderful inspiration!
